2)寂靜禪林地形以山坡地為多,禪堂和宿舍需走不少的梯級,行動不便者請自行斟酌。
2. People with limited mobility please show more discretion, as most of the area in the Hermitage’s terrain is hillside, and there are a lot of steps in between meditation hall and dormitory.

禪師簡介:
開印阿闍梨於1987年依止檳城洪福寺文建長老披剃出家。早年曾隨繼程長老、修靜長老、聖嚴長老、印度葛印卡老師修學禪法,後來更於緬甸最高大業處阿闍梨帕奧禪師座下接受數十種奢摩他與毗婆舍那禪法之訓練。
開印阿闍梨曾於1995年擔任圓光佛學院講師、1996年於臺灣福嚴佛學院教務長。於1998年末創辦馬來西亞寂靜禪林及擔任住持至今,目前並兼任美國寂靜禪舍董事會主席及沙巴亞庇慈音寺宗教顧問。
在出家超過20年的僧涯裡,開印阿闍梨具有指導過一百多階次密集禪七的豐富經驗。並且,精研佛經,如專研契經、阿毗達磨、巴利註釋書、清淨道論、大智度論及瑜伽師地論等。
Brief Introduction of the Master:
Acariya Kai Yin (“Acariya”) was ordained in 1987 under Thera Boon Kheng at Ang Hock See Buddhist Temple, Penang, Malaysia. After ordination, he practiced meditation under the guidance of Thera Ji Cheng, Thera Xiu Jing, Thera Sheng-Yen and Goenka. Further, he received intensive training in Samatha and Vipassana meditation from the most Highly Respected Meditation Master Venerable Pa-Auk Tawya Sayadaw.
In 1995 Acariya taught at Yuan Kuang Buddhist College in Taiwan and in 1996 acted as the Director of Education at Fuyan Buddhist College. In 1998, he founded Santavana Forest Hermitage in Malaysia and has been the abbot since then. Currently, he is also the chairman of Board for Santa Monastery in the U.S., and the spiritual advisor to Tzer Ying Temple in Malaysia.
In his monastic life of over two decades, Acariya has developed profound experience in teaching meditation by leading more than one hundred intensive retreats throughout the world. Also, he is an expert in various Buddhist literatures, including Pali commentaries on canonical texts (Pali Aṭṭhakathā), The Abhidhammattha Sangaha, The Path of Purification (Visuddhimagga), The Great Treatise on Perfection of Wisdom (Mahaprajnaparamita-sastra) and The Discourse on Stages of Concentration Practice (Yogacarabhumi-sastra).
