1、務必遵守禪林日常作息，包括早晚課、出坡、早午齋，不宜因個人的事而遲到早退，除非有特殊因緣如生病等事宜，亦需向職事人（禪戒法師）請假。
It is essential to adhere to the daily schedule of the hermitage. This includes morning and evening services, work periods, and morning and evening meals. One should not arrive late or leave early due to personal reasons, unless there are special circumstances, such as illness. In this case, permission must be granted from Ven. Chanjie.
2、無論是住宿處或清理環境的範圍，須依職事人（禪戒法師）的安排，不得私自決定。
Ven. Chanjie is in charge of assigning accommodation and cleaning duties. Please respect the Venerable’s decision. The accommodations and duties are not to be selected on your own.
3、若與其他人同寮，須為他人著想，住宿上互相協調，不得以自我為中心。
If you are sharing living space with others, please be considerate of their needs, coordinate your daily life, and avoid self-centered attitude.
4、不得與他人互相鬥爭、不論是非曲直、仗勢欺人、非禮責人、搬弄是非、挑唆離間，煽動情緒。One must not engage in conflicts with others, argue over right and wrong, bully others, treat people unfairly, spread rumors, create division, or provoke negative emotions.
5、不得毀謗三寶，不敬師長，輕慢長輩，辱罵大眾。
One must not slander the Triple Gem, disrespect the teachers and elders, belittle seniors, or insult the community.
6、尊重各範圍的職事人，不宜干涉及給予太多個人的意見，擾亂整體的運作。
Respect the person in charge in each department, and avoid interfering by giving too much opinions, as this may disrupt the overall operation.
7、不得向其他人大式宣揚和教導個人的偏好，如氣功、各種醫療法等等。
One must not promote or teach personal philosophy, such as ‘Qigong’, or give medical advice to others.
8、平時不喧嘩擾眾、製造聲音（如錄音機和唱唸等），以不影響大眾為原則。
One should avoid making noise and disturbing others (such as with recorder or chanting) and adhering to the principle of not perturb the community.
9、凡不遵守以上的某一項守則或習氣難改者，禪林有權中止其住宿禪林的資格。Should anyone not able to follow the above rules or refuses to correct stubborn bad habits, Santavana reserves the right to ask the volunteer to leave.
以上所例規約，僅依佛制律儀及順應寂靜禪林環境而設，專為真實辦道之規則，共住大眾宜自珍重。尚有未盡備處，經管理委員會商議後方可改增。
This Code of Discipline helps to create a scrupulous environment for the dharma practitioners. They are according to the Code of Discipline and are appropriate for the Santavana community. These rules and regulations may change, when necessary, by the Santavana Management Committee.
